Overview

This 4 day safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Lake Bunyonyi. . The park is home to quite a number of endangered mountain gorillas with over 18 gorilla families that are worth the visit. Lake bunyonyi is known to be Uganda’s deepest crater lake, the best place to chill and relax after a gorilla trek after which you will return to Kampala and this will mark the end of the trip.

How many people are allowed to trek gorillas
A maximum of 8 people are allowed per group
How much time is spent during a trek?
Time spent during the trek is dependent on the movements of the gorillas and where they slept last night. The trek can last 30 minutes or up to 5 hours and when a gorilla family is found, you will spend an hour with them.
What is gorilla trekking?
Gorilla trekking is an on-foot wildlife experience that involves moving and searching for endangered Mountain Gorillas in order to get an up-close to them.
Can we swim from Lake Bunyonyi?
Lake Bunyonyi is one of the few lakes in Uganda that is free from bilharzia (a common parasite found in Southern Uganda) making its waters safe for swimming.
