4 DAY GORILLA TRACKING SAFARI

Today you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda. Bwindi is a pristine rainforest on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley famously known as a home to the mountain gorillas. The terrain is a string of ridges and valleys covered by the very dense impenetrable forest. Having lunch enroute, you will arrive at the park in the evening. It is here that you will check into your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

After having an early morning breakfast, our driver guide will drive you to Ruhiga Park Headquarters where you will meet your ranger guide for briefing on the dos and don’ts while out in the forest. It is after this briefing that you will head into the forest for the trek. The trek can take between 30minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorilla family is situated. Once you have located a family, you will be allowed 1 hour with them observing their behavior and taking photographs. You will then return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the late afternoon, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi where you will check into your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Imagine sailing on the calm waters of Africa’s second deepest lake! After an early morning breakfast, take a boat ride around the 29 islands each with a different story about its formation. Ensure to visit the Punishment and Adventure Island. The punishment island is that where the women that got pregnant before marriage were dumped while the adventure island is that where you will be able to engage in sports activities like zip lining, high ropes and biking. After enjoying this fruitful day, you will head back to the Lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy a fruitful breakfast as you appreciate the beautiful lake scenery. Having lunch enroute, we will drive back to Kampala making a stopover at the Equator for photographic experiences and souvenirs
