Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from either Entebbe / Kampala (approx. 8–9 hours). You will enjoy a scenic drive through Uganda’s breathtaking landscapes—rural villages, rolling hills, and dense forests. There will be a brief stop at the Equator for a chance to take photos and stretch your legs. The journey continues as you wind through tea plantations and into the misty Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful evening, resting up for the exciting trek ahead. (En route lunch). Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a per-trek briefing from your expert guide. This briefing covers important information on gorilla behavior and trekking etiquette. Accompanied by a team of guides and rangers, venture into the dense forest in search of the gorillas. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll have an hour to observe and photograph these majestic creatures up close. Watching the gorillas interact in their natural environment is an awe-inspiring and humbling experience. After the trek, you’ll return to your lodge to relax and reflect on your adventure. (enjoy some lunch and relax). After a long relaxation, you will head for the Batwa cultural experience and learn about their way of living in the forest, craft skills, cultivation and culinary. Later on, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Optional, you may head for a long guided nature walk, bird watching experience. Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After a relaxed breakfast, you have the option to take a short village walk to visit the local communities and learn about their culture and lifestyle or visit Lake Bunyonyi at a cost. Thereafter, begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe approx 8-9 hours drive, arriving in the late afternoon or evening. If your return flight is from Kigali, we’ll take you across the border to Rwanda for more adventure. Main Destination: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
