DAY 1 : KIGALI CITY TOUR Upon arrival, you will meet our driver guide waiting for you at the airport. You will then drive and check into the reserved accommodation for lunch and relaxation. In case time allows, you will go explore the beautiful Kigali City. Check out the Kigali Genocide memorial museum, Inema Art Centre and the Kimironko market. Later on in the evening, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay |

DAY 2 : TRANSFER TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK – CANOPY WALK The Nyungwe Forest is one of the oldest and largest rainforests in Africa. The forest is situated in Southwestern part of Rwanda and is the only park in Rwanda that offers canopy walks, alongside chimpanzee trekking, waterfall tours and hikes. You will arrive in time for lunch and thereafter you will take a 90 meter maximum exploration canopy walk. In this walk you will not only be able to stretch out your legs from the long journey, but you will also be able to have an aerial view of the whole park. Enjoy a good chance of spotting silver monkeys, owl-faced monkeys, mangabeys, colobus monkeys and a number of bird species |

DAY 3 : CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO LAKE KIVU Today after having breakfast you will embark on the chimpanzee trekking activity. These primates share 97% of man’s DNA and are referred to as man’s closest relatives. The trek starts with a briefing from your ranger guide about your chimpanzee trek. You will then head into the forest after briefing to locate the chimpanzees. After locating the chimpanzees you are allowed to have one hour with them. You will the return to the lodge for lunch after which you will drive to Lake Kivu |

DAY 4 : EXPLORE LAKE KIVU Lake Kivu is the largest freshwater lake in Rwanda. Unlike other lakes in East Africa, you can swim here in Lake Kivu because it does not have hippos and crocodiles. The lake is part of the Albertine Rift Valley that runs from Zambia to Sudan. And it is along this lake that you will take a relaxing boat ride as you enjoy the cool lake breeze and scenic shore views |

DAY 5 : TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK Volcanoes National Park is the oldest national park in all of Africa and is dominated by the 8 Virunga volcanoes. This is the habitat of the endangered mountain gorillas and the golden monkeys. You will arrive at the park in time for lunch thereafter you can opt to hike to the grave of Diane Fossey. Diane Fossey studied and protected gorillas for 18 years. It is during the course of this hike that you will be able to see the Dian Fossey’s tomb, the cabin in which she was murdered, Karisoke Research camp, Mount Karisimbi, golden monkeys and a number of bird species. You will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay |

DAY 6 : GORILLA TREKKING AND TRANSFER TO AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK After an early morning breakfast, your drive guide will drive you to the park headquarters where you will meet your ranger guide for briefing on the dos and don’ts while out in the forest. It is after this briefing that you will head into the forest for the trek. The trek can take between 30minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorilla family is situated. Once you have located a family, you will be allowed 1 hour with them observing their behavior and taking photographs. You will then return to your lodge for lunch after which you will drive to Akagera National Park |

DAY 7 : GAME DRIVE AND BOAT CRUISE The Akagera National Park in Rwanda has a great diversity of landscapes, mountain scenery, lakes, golden savannas and many types of grasslands. This park is situated close to the Tanzania border and it is here that you will go on a morning game drive after having breakfast. In the course of this game drive, you will be able to stumble across the famous big 5 and other wildlife species like hyenas, impalas, oribis, and roan antelopes. In the afternoon, you will go on a take a boat safari along Lake Ihema where you will be able to see a number of hippos and crocodiles |

DAY 8 : DEPARTURE FROM RWANDA After having a morning breakfast, our driver guide will drive you to the airport where you will catch your flight back home |
